Quarter One Progress Portfolio
Manual Shooting (Day 1)
This is one of the three of my favorite images from the first manual shoot. Shot at f 3.5 1/250. I like this picture because of the abstract background as well as the sort of halo of light around the bird created from the sun at its back.
Second of my favorite shots. Shot at f 6.0 1/200. I like the reflection given off of the water as well as the blue on the ball that creates balance with the blue in the water.
Third favorite shot. shot at f 4.2 and 1/250. I just like the background of the shoes as the focus on the keys. However, I wish that the colors of the keys would stand out more from the background.
Progressive Image #1. starting image of creek shot at f 6.2 and 1/150 of a second, shot by hand, and slightly underexposed.
Progressive image #2 creek shot at f 11, 2 second exposure, from tripod, correctly exposed and gave the water a soft feel.
Progressive image #3 f 9 at 1/250 most flowers and stems in focus. no main focus point.
Progressive image #4 f 5.6 at 1/250 shoot in sequence with picture above. Lowered the f-stop to create a blurred background.
Contrast photo. unable to find the one taken in class, but this has the same elements of dark and light. f 5.6 1/250 and ISO 300
F-STOP : Second Shoot.
F 11 1/250 shot of locker, slightly under exposed.
f 5.6 1/250 correctly exposed, same subject just f stop change.
f 3.5 1/250 correctly exposed, focused on lock itself. I do like this shot composition wise because of the placement of lock and focus.
f 9 1/250 under exposed, all trees in focus. cars detail is visable
f 6.2 1/250 only front tree in focus, can still see detail in back tree.
f 3.5 1/250 only part of front tree in focus, all background is completely out of focus
f 5.6 1/250 main focus on plant slightly to the right of center. not perfectly sharp focus, subject back lit by sun above.
f 5.6 1/250 focused on middle to left plants. rainbow affect created by the sun on the right.
F 3.5 1/250, macro lens, focused on the middle of flower on the left.
10 Perspective Shots of Plant
f 5.6 1/250 focus on soil. perspective of the regular human eye.
f 5.6 1/50 ISO 800, slightly grainy, perspective of looking straight down from above.

f 5.6 1/50 ISO 1000 exposed better but has quit a bit of noise, ground level perspective
f 5.6 1/80 under exposed but has a nice effect with the visible concrete. perspective of low to the ground but still looking down
f 5.6 1/250 focus on soil perspective of close up but eye level.
f 5.6 1/250 blurry and not in great focus. looking down from straight above.
